Mike, I agree the original sound on the at the Ranch footage was tone to die for. Did you catch the little story about when Tom was hired and on his first gig, opened up the steel case an hour before the show only to find all the strings ripped off, the pedal cables disconnected and a bunch of the pedals broken off after the previous nights steeler played his last gig with Buck? Guess the steel was house property. Then Don Rich was able to get strings on for Tom and get two pedals working before the show? Man, talk about surprises ! These days we are much more civilized to each other (I hope) Smile

I heard the same story about the guitar fixes him and Don had to do when Tom Brumley went to work for Buck. I also heard that Buck, fired him because he couldnt play fast enough, then, "Together Again" was released, and Buck had to hire him back because it was such a hit! I am a beginner and this is the first song I learned, I hope someday I can get close to his sound, but I dont think anyone will get that close! Thanks for posting this video!
