Johnny Lee's Urban Cowboy Band is looking for a permanent, full-time steel picker after the first of the year. Any interested pickers are welcome to contact me directly for details.

The guys are great. As bandleader, Mike has been great to work with as well. Johnny has a busy year coming up. He signed with Bobby Roberts recently, meaning he'll have his schedule filling up.

I took the gig temporarily to the end of the year, but because of business conflicts, I can't go beyond that, barely getting that far . The pay is real good, the bandmembers are all great guys and pickers. Johnny is singing better than ever, IMHO. I'd not hesitate to continue if I could, however, I've left the door open to sub here and there if necessary, just can't commit to it full time.

This has been my second "tour of duty" with JL, and again, I'd recommend it highly.

Danny

PS. The guys are based out of N. TX and OK

Man, I would apply for this job in a heartbeat if I was back in Ardmore, OK, my hometown. Mark Greenway who lives in Whitesboro should jump on this.

I've put my name in to Michael on this gig, still waiting to hear from him on what or when we'll try to get together....Sounds like it would be a blast.....J.L. is a great performer....have followed his career and music for a long time. A past member of the band, Rocky Stone (RIP) was a good friend of mine who worked for Mickey Gilley for many years, was associated with the Urban Cowboys, from what I understand.
