I've been getting started in BIAB 06, and it seems really easy to just import a Midi with all the chords, codas etc, and wipe the synthed "fiddles" and "steel guitars" and change the style from "New Wave2"..

Anybody found or have a mailable archive of some of the standard Merle Buck Dwight Ray P all the way to TK etc, and other stuff? I tried the BIAB link provided, but my NS7.1 isn't cooperating and downloading gets me 1-6kb "tags" and that's it.

I've got a snail connection.

Thanks for any input.

I don't have a lot of country midis, but if you have some time to do some online looking, here's where I find mine:
http://www.musicrobot.com/

You'll find all kinds of them, some pretty good, lots really, really bad.

If Netscape isn't cooperating, why not try Firefox, Opera or even open up (shudder) Internet Explorer just long enough to download what you need...

Oh MAN! What a ton of them!. I was thrown at first because they're so small.

I'm up and running, and hope to download a couple megs of them being sent to me by email.

These Tracks with Drums Bass, and keys are GREAT, and just what I've been needing.

With BIAB 06 I should be able to record through my XtLive USB, and I'll have plenty to do this winter.

I got an RCA Lyra Mp3 Player that is working great too. Lots cheaper than the IPod, and I don't need XP to run it.

THANKS!

Does anybody else want some country midi files?
I just uploaded about 800 of them in a zip file....it's about 6.5 meg.
If enough people want them I'll post a link

Sorry folks. I have to close this.

The possibility of legal issues is the reason.

Other discussions about MIDI are welcome.
