Does anyone regularly use a preamp in conjunction with the PODXT? I'm thinking of a VMP-II or some kindof class A tube either before or after the XT.

Gibson, yes I use either a Peavey AMR VMP-2 tube pre, or more lately a Great River ME-1V. I run the 1/4" output of the XT directly into either one of these units.
