Dear Friends,

I have received several e-mails about the early Hawaiian LP Lloyd recorded at the very beginning of his Nashville career, asking for some more clips from that rare record - here you are: Listen to "Coconut Grove" and "Blue Hawaii"

Also, I have added a clip from the original recording of "Just Between You And Me" by Johnny Paycheck (from 1967) and a beautiful clip from a later Vernon Oxford tune (1979).

Enjoy the music!

Kind Regards, Walter

Walter,

Thanks for posting the updates!

The Vernon Oxford clip is great. The sound in that clip demonstrates why Lloyd Green is my favorite. Simply beautiful!

I second the thanks, Walter. Vernon Oxford's music is definitely not to be missed by anyone who likes country pedal steel guitar. Lloyd's playing on Vernon's cuts is some of the best that has ever been recorded, IMHO.

Sorry for the inconvenience! I use the signature field from the profile, haven't changed anything, but it doesn't work anymore.

I have cleared it and typed the links again, hope it works now!

Kind Regards, Walter

I scrolled the whole list and found You've Got A Lover by Ricky Skaggs. It's been a long time since I heard that song and forgot about the beautiful steel on it. I put the clip on loop, very sweet, it'll make you cry.
