I have just received 10 more chips. I have them all sold and more! I order 30 more today. They only had 160 left in stock! I took a chance and ordered 30 more.
When they are out it will take a 900 piece order to get these restocked, I can't do that. If I see a lot more interest this month I will order even more.
These are working great in the Profex 2, Bassfex (same unit), Transtubefex, Tubefex, Session 2000 amp and other Peavey products that used a battery.
I will be out of town Feb 28 to March 15, so try to ship before or after that date. I try for a one day turn around on these!
I will be at the Dallas Show on Friday and Saturday. See you there!

Ken - Thanks for the lightening fast service and your willingness to help out. I got mine back almost before I sent it. Well, you know, pretty fast It works like a charm. [This message was edited by lgfout on 02 February 2005 at 07:59 PM.] |

Thanks for the input! I get some out same day and most next day after receipt.
Everyone is doing a great job of packing these, no damage from shippers yet! Post office seems to be the easiest on packages. I see a lot of packages beat up from UPS! So far none that way from USPS or FedEx. |

Here is some info I mailed to other folks:
I will be out of town Feb 28 thru about March 15. Going to Portland to get my 1962 Sport Fury, headed to Dallas for the show and then back home!
I can get your units out usually the day after they arrive. If possible, get them shipped to arrive in the next few weeks or after the 15th of March.
It is easiest for me to repair and ship back and then bill you via email. No need to send payment in advance.
Charges:
$35.00 for the chip or battery (I recommend the chip), reload your settings or I can reload from my collection, repackage and ship
Shipping charges are additional and I will scan a copy of the shipping bill to you and send an invoice for the repair in Microsoft Excel format. I can scan the invoice if you do not have Excel.
I can replace broken pots for $15.00 each (volume on the front or rear only for Profex 2 or Bassfex), also power supply input jacks for same (have only seen 2 bad ones in all the years I have worked on the units). I keep the pots and jacks in stock. Knobs are $4.00 additional. Power jacks are $10.00 each, installed. I do not need your power supply sent with the item, I have several here already.
Pack to protect the racks ears! They bend easy in shipment. Try to pack so the item does not shift. Items packed in peanuts will move all around and bump the ears. I have seen many damaged this way. Wrap in bubble wrap for best results.

If every one that has contacted me follows up I then have 31 commited chips. That leaves me 9 for stock. |

Thanks for the report, Jerry! Jerry wanted to try it himself, so I sent him a chip. Anyone with a bit of electronics knowledge and working in a fairly static free environment can remove the old battery and sap the chip.
I have 2 more unspoken for as of this morning.
I will call Monday and see if any are left at the distribitor. |
