Bill ,I wasn't able to make the show this year so I had to rely on you and the radio crew as did many of the others.
I have just got to commend all of you for the "VERY" good sound that we received this year. Many thanks for bringing the voice up between songs as sometimes the commentary is just as interesting as the music. I have some good tapes that I will treasure of the show.
The sound I'm sure was good on the floor and was just as good on the air as contrasted against last year which had a little to be desired, but no complaints this time, as it was super.
Many Thanks
Joe Law

Ditto except for Sundays Sara Jory. The
distortion from over modulation was terrible and destroyed the whole set.

My compliments to Bill, Peavey and the entire sound team. I don't know how it could have been better there in the ball room.

Thank you for the compliments. We worked VERY hard to send the best possible signal.

Yep, we flubbed once in a while (ear burn out). The Sara Jory show came on so loud that it took us a while to get control. She was over driving our mixer which in turn caused distortion (I guess since I could not listen on the internet) in the broadcast mixer.

But we did not have distortion in her set on Friday night.

Thanks again and if anyone wants their money back for the internet coverage, I will double it. :-)

Oh yes, I forgot this.

Internet sound was mixed by:
Graham Bland,
Jim (Doc) Stewart
and myself.

Ably assisted by Roger Crawford, Pat Stewart and my lovely wife, Linda.

Equipment used was my Peavey 6034 mixer, mixed down from 24 channels to mono on the spot. No second chances.

Bill

You all did a great job. I also realise that it is a big job just to stay at that console a whole weekend. Just remember ,the sound people can make a dummy like me sound good. If that sound is righr all us players have to do is hold on,, we don't even have to drive.

I commend Bill and crew(plus the wives). I know that it is tiring to sit for hours on end as used to be at the live sound position years back. It's almost a dusk to dusk job!
