Doug
If you will read the post on push pulls you will find the reason that the tones produced by your guitar as well as Emmons,Rugg,Hughey Green,Bethel,Sarah,Wallace,Hicks,Crawford,
Cohen,Knight,Lynn O,Joan Cox,Wright, and Brightman's guitar sucked so bad. They kinda sounded like raking a board down a picket fence, or a hale storm on a tin roof. You guys should wake up to the real world and get your sound back. No charge for the advice.

That ought to light some fires. I'll have to admit, Randy Beavers had some of the most incredible tone that I heard.

Just my two cents. I thought there were no bad tones all week-end and I am a push-pull owner. Sometimes it's not what you play but how you play it. And anybody on that stage this week end could play.

Don,I never claimed to be the tone GOD' only the runner up. I do however know that blue is a lot more pretty than purple. Now see, that made sense! I am really intelegent though,I messed my pants one time. Mom didn't find out for three weeks. Now, that takes some smarts!

Well Jack, sometimes it just don't pay to try to have a good time 'cause there is always someone ready to take what you say just opposite how you meant it. Guy's, Jack was making light of the idea that the pull pull guitars could have sounded inferior. He plays a Zum and dearly loves them. He dearly loves Doug and was funnin' with him.
I might be reading something wrong from the posts in answer to Jack, maybe you guys are playing along but if you are not, you really took Jack wrong. The guy loves to have a good time and kid around with his friends and so do I. He's joking!!!

Jack: The undeniable "tone" from the Hern family is Virginia's ham salad! This is a tone that cannot be beat!
In a serious note, Buddy, Sara Jory and Lloyd Green had a real nice tone.
Jack, you had your usual "Jazz tone" for the Sunday service.

Love ya Brother!
