I just have something to say about these
exceptional young people.
" The Electric Barnyard Tour", with Connie
Smith (and Johnny Cox), Merle Haggard and
Marty Stuart, was scheduled to play in
Chillicothe, Ill. Sun., July 20.
I posted to inquire as to whether or not
Johnny was to be on this tour with Connie,
and if Joan would be with him.
Almost immediately, Joan responded, and
subsequently E-Mailed me with all the information she had about the tour.
Without going into detail, the show was canceled.
The purpose of this post, is to say
if you have any contact with these fine young
people, they WILL respond,immediately, if
not sooner.
DO NOT MISS these super talented musicians
in St. Louis this year!
See you in St. Lou,

Might I interject and add that not only Johnny and Joan are super people and players, but Dean Dobbins is quite a guy and player also. If you get a chance to hear him, do it. Not only is he a great player, he can sing the fire out of a Ray Price tune.

Hey Craig!
You are (hopefuly) going to allow me to play
your next show, aren't you?
I might add, I have'nt been treated any better anywhere, by the people and the hotel
involved at any of the shows I have played
(except for Pickett, and Bruce's show, and I think you know what I mean), so,let me know
when the next one will be.
I had such agood time last year, that I really want to return. Also, the thing I admire about you most, is that you are alwaws
open to suggestions. SO, if nothing is soldered for next year's show, please conscidcer Russ & Laney Hicks, And Johnny & Joan Cox, and possibly in the near future
Dicky Overbey. There a bunch more I could name, but these players are friends of mine.
I am not trying to influence you in any way, but, these are people you need to talk to for future shows.

See you in St. Lou

See ya in St. Louis...Dean.

Roy, the musician's musician!
You can never know what your coments meant
to me!
I have been in awe of your musicianship
since the very first time I heard you play!
I know you have played with the greatest
in the industry, so to have you post something so positive to my efforts to
entertain, brings tears to my eyes.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, my friend.

Thanks Dean..what a nice compliment. I'm looking forward to Johnny getting home for a day. Hey, let's make a point of getting together in one of the jam session rooms in St. Louis. I'm ready to back you up on a few Ray Price tunes..looking forward to that!! Our booth is next to the MSA booth, so be sure to come look for us.
