Hello all. Like Larry, just got my password too. Just re-started lap steel after a very long break, and I mean long break...a few years in fact. Decided to go with C6th. old guitar was High Bass but C6th seems to be a bit more versatile. Its a bit of a struggle at my age but really loving it! Anyhow I know where I can get the answers to any questions I have now I've found this forum.
Hope to meet up in future maybe....Patrick

Hi Patrick, a warm welcome to the forum. This is "the" place for information, it has helped me so much over the past few years and they are the nicest people. Good to see another UK'er playing Lap Steel. Best wishes Howard.

And a happy welcome from yet another Howard.

This is a very serious place! Not a Monty Python Flying Three Ring Circus!

of course Benny Hill is another story

Hey Patrick..welcome to the forum from another newbie. I've been haunting the forum for months & decided finally to join because of the kindness of the other's,the willingness to share ideas, and some of the folks are down right knowledgeable!(The door's open 24/7 & we've all got our own private key!)When it comes to steeling, keep your eyes as well as your ears open.I've seen a lot of seeds on this forum & some in particular are growing in very fertile soil indeed!! Hey Patrick, welcome aboard. There is a wealth of information to be had in here.

Your age really does not mean much when learning to play a new instrument. In fact, it is a great accomplishment when your new instrument playing brings a surprised smile to the faces of a few friends.
