I had the chance to see the Bill Anderson show with steel guitarist Donna Hammitt. Wow, she can execute single notes runs, fills and melodies flawlessly. She had a killere of a tone, and it was a pleasure to meet her. The arrangements of all the songs, by the band, was very impressive, even though it was cold enough to snow. If you get a chance to see her play, take it, you will not be disappointed.

Donna is a wonderful steel player and also an internet buddy of mine. I met her at the Grand Ole Opry last year in November. She encouraged me to play steel even though I have cerebral palsy. She was proud of me when I told her I'm learning the steel. I was at the Opry meeting Tommy White and she was there too. Brett Day, Emmons S-10

Right on Theresa!!!! It couldn't have been said better. I believe the only thing that surpasses Donna's great talent is her sincere and warm kindness to other human beings.

Wasn't Donna just nine years old when I first heard her play at the Old Chase Park Plaza.

She is one of the real sucess stories for young players just starting out.

Miss her at St Louis ,and for the first time in years did not see her Dad ,Don at St Louis recently. Great Folks.

My band has opened for Bill a few times and Donna is consistently a "Class Act". She doesn't have a complicated set-up...she just makes that Nashville 400 sing!!
If you get a chance to see the Bill Anderson show, GO and you will enjoy!! ...oh, and tell the pretty steel player,"Hello".
