wonder if anyone knows who plays steel for john anderson? he was in town last night and 'tho i missed him, everyone i talked to today said john put on a great show and the steel player was "gettin' it on!" anyone know?

Unless I'm behind the times, John's steeler is Glenn Rieuff. I believe he's been with Anderson for 10+ years as his road player. Furthermore, if I'm not mistaken, Anderson continues to use Emmons as his studio player.

Glen is about as commercial as you can get. I was able to spend time with him in Cedar Rapids and invited him to our steel show and he said he'd come but didn't want to play because he wasn't much of a instrumentalist. I think Glen is a quite a guy and plays great.

Glen is an old and dear friend who I first met when he was engineering (recording)at Young-un Sound years ago. He's extremely talented and very, very bright. He also has a Masters in electronic engineering and was the tech-at-large at Young-un. He's also very humble and won't tell you all the good stuff unless you pull it out of him.
