I just bought a Fender double 8 and don't have a clue how to tune it, can anyone help me? |

Probably the most common tunings are C6/Am7 and E6/7. These are the two tunings I'd use, but I'm sure you'll get other responses.
Do a search on the archives of this same forum to see the many other topics just like this.
C6/Am7 (bass to treble):
A C E G A C E G
E6/7 (bass to treble):
B D E G# B C# E G#

Hi Robert, I've got the C6 tuning (ACEGACEG) on one neck of my Stringmaster and it's great. I play swing, hawaiian, and some blues with it. The A6 (F#AC#EF#AC#E) is cool too played with same finger patterns as the C6 but It's got a lower pitch to it, very full and mellow soundin. What style of music do you want to play on it?
