I have a PV Vegas 400, and (with the PV mod), the main channel is killer.

The second channel, I'm having a hard time setting up for electric guitar.

Can you share your favorite settings on the second (guitar) channel? Also, please indicate if its with a humbucker or single coil six string.

Thanks!

I use that 2nd channel for a G&L Broadcaster (tele) and/or my Roland Guitar synthesizer.
Bass: 3
Mid knobs: both straight up on 5
Treble: 7

I run the steel stereo with the other channel and a Nashville 400 sitting next to it. Really a lot to set up sometimes, but the end result makes it worthwhile.

Thanks Ed:

Could you try a setting for me? I use

Low at 5 (eg. 12 o'clock)
Shift @ 4
Mid @ 1
High @ 1.3

This is the only setting I can get an acceptable attenuation of the "ultra-amplified" mids and highs of this preamp channel....I'm wondering if I have a problem with my unit ?

Let me know if this gives you an ok and balanced sound.

Thanks.

I play various guitars through that second channel (Fat Strat, Tele copy, LP copy, Wolfgang, MM copy, too many really! )

Not too loud:

Low: 2
Mid: 3.5
Shift: 4.5
High: 5

Reverb: off

Use a Digitech RP-50 with flat EQ settings and blackface amp model, reverb or delay. Use a stack amp model for distortion.

I still have the booklet that came with mine, their suggestion for lead in the second channel: bass=5-7, mid=3-5, high=5-10. Lot's of laditude there, don't know if it helps much.
