I realize the SD-II has fuzz, whereas the 4a does not. My question is if the Preamp Buffer section/circuit is the same on both units. I've been using a 4a for some time and am very happy with it. I have it modified with a SPDT bypass to my tuner as well as a TPDT to bypass the battery/effect still allowing the signal to pass through so I can set a basic tone and then enhance in the On mode. I have'nt had a chance to try the SD-II yet because I intend to make the same mods. *** Just curious *** Thanks, DJ
