What would cause my 400 to cut out. To get it back I unplug the speaker from the back, turn the amp all the way up and mash the volume pedal. This used to fix it and it would work the rest of the night, but now it is getting worse. Can't depend on it to continue the evening. Probably should pack it up and send it to Meridian, but thought if it was something simple, maybe I could fix it at home. Thanks. Rog

This is not intended as a wise A$$ remark, but what you are doing could very well be causing more problems than what you originally had. As an ex amp tech I shudder everytime some tells me something like that.

As long as you are sure it's the amp, not something external to the amp, your best bet is to have it repaired before something major happens.
