Theresa,
My family are also huge fans of The Whites. You just can't get much better in my book. Buck doesn't get enough credit for his piano skills, in my most humble oppinion. Who plays the steel for them on the Opry? (Tommy White?)

Deana,
Rosie White is my sister-in-law. She's married to my younger brother Brian.
I too am a huge fan. Rosie sure can sing and pick when given the chance. You won't meet a nicer family!
Yes, Tommy does back them on the Opry and he use to work the road with them. Thanks, Theresa

Theresa,
That's neat. Let them know they have some fans in Ohio! We never get to see the televised Opry, but we generally listen every Fri and Sat night while we are on the road. Figured it was Tommy on the steel, he's pretty easy to recognize.

Deana,
As Theresa said, I did play with the Whites almost 8 years and was fortunate to record with them a few times. My time with the Whites was the best thing that ever could of happened to me ,musically, socially and personally.
I do still perform with the Whites when Steve Wilkerson can't be there.
Theresa also mentioned her brother Brian, let me say, talent does run in the Franklin family. Brian is an excellent guitarist.
My best to you,
Tommy White

Tommy,
Good to hear from you. Sure do enjoy your playing. If you see Darrel Hornburger back stage sometime, tell him that the Marvin & Deana Clark Family from Ohio said hello. We met Darrel up in Fairmont, Wv when he was doing a show with Jim Ed Brown, and became friends. He sat in with us at the Christian Country Music Convention in Nashville a few years back, and he's a real nice guy. Back to The Whites: You just don't get any better in my book. (And I would love to get to hear Brian sometime, too) We enjoy their grass roots, family oreinted music. Was tickled pink to hear that they got to do that movie deal. Still haven't seen it, but plan to. Thanks for the reply and God bless ya.. Deana Clark

Tommy, thanks for clearing up the comment about the steeler for the Whites, I really enjoyed your picking when you were with them,However I also enjoy the great steel work of Steve Wilkerson IMHO he is one of the best, and does a great job of keeping the great sound of the whites great! He is also an awsome lead picker. He doesn't get enough recognition for his outstanding work.

robert,
I certainly didn't mean to slight Steve. I was backstage and on the opposite side of the stage during the Whites segment. Shame on me Theresa

Deana
yes that would be nice, but then you would
expect me to pick as well as Tommy White.
And we all know all the money in the world
wont help me that much!
