Here's Marty's email
quote:
Sources have told me that the meeting went well, no bombs dropped, and everyone seemed to leave with a light heart. Garth Brooks was in attendance, but stated that he would not be of much help to the Opry next year.

It was said from the Opry management, that they were looking forward to the next 75 years. No mention being made of cutbacks to the Artist, but that is already in effect, first with the Staff Band, and if you will notice in the past several weeks, less and less appearances of Stonewall Jackson, Ernie Ashworth, Charlie Louvin, and others.

I am glad that all went well at this meeting, and I will have a complete update tommorrow evening, hopefully, on my bulletin section.

I am relieved at this meeting, but there was no VINCE GILL.
