I decided to sell one of my Emmons and this is a one of a kind LGIII that I ordered and never play so here it is. Beautifully figured
natural Birdseye maple with Matching Necks and Inlay! I had the changer head polished instead of rough finish. Anti-Detune both necks, return compensatios, Custom dark brown Western tooled leather type case! Single coil Pus'. This steel was built before any quality issues, all aluminum looks like mirrors, case and steel never played out of my house, like new! $5000

I have seen these beautiful Emmons Steels that Skip has and they are all made to his Secs.He has about 10 of then=m and he does not even play some of them.I just bought a SD-10 from him that he had made Special and he was going to not use a double neck any more and then he started to play the C-6 and got hocked so he sold me the SD-10 LaGrande III.He has a great taste for the colors he picks.Skip is a arnest Guy and he will use you right.

Hey Guys,
With all of the nice things that all of you are saying about Skip Mertz, I just wonder if he could possibly be the same Skip Mertz from Fayetteville, NC that I have been teaching how to play steel? Now, Ray Walker, you told me that I am the pickiest man that you have ever met! You are not trying to say that Skip is getting ahead of me, Are You? In all honesty Skip is a good guy and will try to help you if he can. He is picky about his equipment, like I am about mine. I would not hestitate to buy any musical equipment that Skip is selling. You can be assured that it will be in excellent condition. By the way Skip, you need to come to Robbins Music on Friday, and if you ask me nicely, then, I might show you another "Hot Lick" on steel or at least teach you how to tune a steel guitar!!!
