Moderator Ricky (or anyone who knows):

is there an archive of all the tablature that's been posted to the forum? I couldn't find one.

I'm specifically looking for clues to how Franklin plays the great solo in George Strait's version of "My Life's Been Grand." He's got a low note dropping a 4th, from the I to the V, that is beautiful but baffles me how he gets that. There's a simultaneous hanging III note that drops to the II and back up after that low note wobbles, very haunting sound! Hope someone knows what the trick is.

Thanks!

Hi John. Well the best Archive is the Search Function here in the Tablature section up there at the right. I did do a search for that song your talking about and didn't come up with anything. I do know that at one time Paul was Lowering the 6th string Two Whole Tones; so that's a 3rd dropping to the Root....pretty cool eh??? And without hearing what your talking about...your explaination sounds like this is what Paul Franklin did???
Good luck.
Ricky
