Cliff,this is my version of Vince Gills, Dont come crying to me and an example of the use of the 1/2 pedal. I had only about 30 minutes at practice to learn it so like I say its only my version, but it worked out

Key of C turnaround:

3
4--------------------8---10~~~8---8~~~8
5--3a--8--8a~~8~~8a--8a--10~~~8a--8a~~8
6--3b--8--8b~~8~~8b--------------------

release to
1/2 a pedal
4----------------------7~~~8---8~~~8~~~~~~~
5------8---------------7a~~8a--8a~~8(1/2a)~
6--8b------8---8~~8a----------------------

3----------------10b~~9b~~8b
4~~8~~8~~~8~~8---10~~~9~~~8----10~~~9~~~8
5~~8~~8x~~8~~8a--10a~~9a~~8a---10a~~9a~~8a
6------------------------------10b~~8b~~8b

4--8d
5--8
6--8b

Hey Cat, Hey Rick,
Listen, I don't wanna be talkin' out of school or anything, but you know who we should have commenting on this thread? Buck Grantham!! Cliff, were you in the room when he played this tune as an instrumental at the Dallas show? Whoa.... He just wiped me out.
I wonder if Buck ever gets around this section of the forum... hmmm....

Lee, heres a little speed lick I use for all those train type songs, or you can use it as a filler lick.
Use it in any no pedals chord position. I use only the thumb and middle finger. Once you do the lick slow ,It will make sence, then speed it up
t=thumb
m=middle

5--------------m6----------m3-----------
6-------t3~~3b----t3b~~3------t3b~~3----
7----m3------------------t3-------------
8 t3------------------------------------

5
6
7--m3-----------------------------------
8-----t3--------------------------------

Be sure & get the fingering right & it will go a lot easier,,,,,,Have fun Rick
