Gonna depend on how hot the output on the keyboard is most likely.

I used my Hilton with a Korg Triton I used to have, and it did fine with no issues at all.

It depends on what's next in the signal chain. Will the output of the volume pedal go to a guitar amp (with input impedance ~ 1meg ohms)? If so, a steel volume pedal (100k ohms) is fine. But if the output of the volume pedal is going to a keyboard amp or directly to a mixer (input impedance as low as 10k to 100k ohms), that won't work, and you'll need a low-impedance volume pedal (Boss FV-50L, FV-30L or similar.) In this case, "that won't work" means "it will load down the signal way too much," not "you won't hear anything at all."
