If I remember correctly, the link the OP posted was for a collection of songs not on the original Brisbane album, thus the Brisbane Bop II title.

I played there many times over the years but I think my best memory is the night our band leader was having a hard time getting paid and as he argued w/ the mgr. I was out back taking down the fence and loading it my Pickup. I had just bought a house in Petaluma and as far as I know the fence is still there. I'm sure the statue of limitations has long passed...

Anyone have these recordings? Another lost link on the SGF.... These should be available, as they are some of the most important recordings ever made for the steel guitar. What a tease!

Here you go.....I downloaded the original link when it was up, and now it's on my GoogleDrive. Probably best to download it for yourself, in case I have to delete it for some reason.

Thank you so much Jim! Here it is folks. Get it while it's hot, and it is hot! I am listening to Caravan right now. Just wild!! Great audio quality considering.

Thanks Jim. I downloaded it. Then I found that I already downloaded it 4 years ago. Duh! But thanks.

thanks Mr. Fogarty! fantastic stuff. there are 4 tracks without a title, two of them have lyrics/vocals so they weren't too hard to figure out (I Don't Know Why I Love You Like I Do and Walkin' In The Shadow Of The Blues) but does anyone know the titles of the 2 instrumentals? (track 8 and track 20)

Track 8 sounds like "In the Mood." Track 20 sounds like generic, 12 bar blues.

Scott -- here's what I've got, from my download a few years ago. I'm not sure what's up with the "post eq" -- I'm guessing that whoever I got it from had processed it.

Jim F., you mentioned Gary Claxton, I recorded on three of his tunes in San Francisco. Jim Campilongo had previously played guitar on them and I overdubbed. Gary was a great country singer and songwriter. He was in Haybale, with Redd Volkhart, often at the Continental Club in Austi.n.
Here's Gary's obituary: https://lonestarmusicmagazine.com/r-i-p-gary-claxton/
