A friend gave me a 12 inch Waza Speaker, I have heard about them, but never used one. However, i expected they would be a good speaker. I installed it in place of a JBL and I am disappointed with the Waza. It was not quite as loud as the JBL at the same settings and the highs were somewhat "gritty". The tone was more harsh.

Maybe I could work with it and get it more to my liking. It is a new speaker he took out of a 100 watt Katana Artist combo he bought.

Bill, most Katana owners liked the Waza speaker. What did he put in his Katana? Mine has the original earlier design speaker that works fine after some tone studio tweaks to the mids.

Hey Larry,
He replaced it with a Ricter. He downloaded programs from Roland but said he got distortion at higher volume with the Waza.
