I have a 15in Scorpion that needs a new basket, I have never used one before and was wondering if it’s worth fixing?
Thanks Dan _________________ Dan Layne |

15 in. Scorpion were mainly used in PA and Bass apps. Yes, it's worth fixing if you have a need for such a speaker, but you may have trouble finding a suitable replacement basket for it these days.
Alternately, our forum brother Jeffrey Maxwell has been looking for BWs and Scorpions to do work on.
You might want to search him out here. |

According to Peavey literature, the “Scorpion” line of speakers were specially designed for lead and rhythm guitar applications. They have an extended high-frequency range and very tight bass compared to their “Black Widow” line. |
