This is a shout-out to a great guy, Cody Stewart, who just finished changing copedants on 2 of my guitars. He is knowledgeable about the mechanics, has great contacts, is very fair, and is a good player as well. I'm not sure he wants me to list his phone number, since he's very busy at the moment, but you can P.M. him here on the Forum. Thanks Cody, I'm glad I got to know you!

Cody is THE guy in Michigan!! I keep looking for an old Emmons bolt to have him restore. They are better than new once he's done with them. Fantastic player as well.

I reached out to him in the fall, and I believe he is in or around Traverse City.

Don and Brett, thanks for the kind remarks. I’m just outside if Traverse City, near Buckley. Doug, if there’s something I can help you with. I’ll do the best I can. Some steel guitar parts are difficult to find currently.

Cody is an excellent choice as a steel guitar tech and is the only person I would trust with my Push Pull, or any other type of steel guitar. He recently helped me find a bolt on and put it back to original spec and then some. I had the chance to hangout behind him as he worked on my guitar, and it was very rewarding. He is a true Emmons scholar and can’t be beat in Michigan when it comes to working on vintage push-pulls. Every Michigander should be taking their push-pulls to him.

If you are looking for someone, call him. He’s very easy to get a hold of and goes above and beyond expectation. You won’t be disappointed.

Michael
