Thanks Larry... yeah that chart is a bit busy, but that may be due to me basically putting in every chord I think I'm using and I probably don't need to do that. I get somewhat confused when chords can be called different things though they contain the same notes. I also don't know enough about music notation or timing things, so there's some trial and error going on to try to make it sound with timing hesitation things like I did in a couple places here.

Hi Dale,
very nice swingy C6th picking and great sound!
After ~40 years on E9th, it's hard for me to get into C6th chord progressions - perhaps my thinking is somehow going in the wrong direction.
More of the swingy ones are very appreciated.

Thanks Cat, I appreciate your encouragement.
I get a little more familiar with where I'm at all the time, but I'm not fast at especially when it comes to dim chords or half dim. I come to a screeching halt when I'm looking for the "exact" chord or extension, rather than when I just follow my ear not worrying too much about what its called. Thats a real mental block thing with me.

Detlef thank yo for your kind words, and you have no idea who much I relate to what you said about getting into C6th. I started on an S10 E9th about 1970-72?, and quickly moved into a D10 mostly cause they looked cooler with the extra pedal and knee levers on them.  Though I was REALLY attracted to C6th and all the stuff I heard Buddy playing on it. So I learned to play a couple things like Girl From Ipanema, the Night Life intro and a couple other things, but I still couldn't make sense of anything or take what I was able to play on it and play something else with it. BUT, all that time I still felt drawn to C6th, after all I had to go past it every time I went to E9th. So in 2021, about 50 years since I started playing I said "enough"... For me I had to pretty much avoid E9th altogether and make my self work out what ever I'd normally play on E9th and do that on C6th. I'm sure NOT musically schooled    so like on E9th I'd just hunt and peck my way along. First learning some of the grips and then just started trying to connect things together. TRUST me, If I can you CERTAINLY CAN. You just have to WANT to, and if I can help you along that path in any way, I'm easy to find.

Echoing the positive comments above….you have a unique playing style and it’s inspirational to hear the classic tunes you play with a slight “twist” or in this case…a swing! Thanks as always for sharing ….Carl |

Thank you Eddie ... When I was a kid I had it in my head to learn C6th, thinking it would be fun to take those songs I'd sung and played in Church forever and play them a little jazzy. Took me 50 years to finally do some of that.
