What year was this logo with black background used?

Johnie, I think all pre-1990 era Zum’s had that style logo decal.

Mine is 1981, no question. It has the white lettering with no black background. Ask Bruce. Maybe he just used what he had laying about, picked at random.

Is it possible the red on the SD10 is a vinyl overlay and that it was originally black?

I defer to Bruce but I've seen the black background decal on various year models in the 80s.

My '81 had the white one same as Barry's so.....
