After trading my Fessy-U12 to a Forum member I now have a Carter S/D-10, 4&5 headed my way. After hrs. and hrs. of hiding in my studio with this U-12 I realized it is just more guitar than I can handle, 4 pedals and 5 knees seem to be my max on a guitar. IMO the Fessenden guitar is a really fine instrument, this particular one is just to much for me, so I'm going back to something I hope I can handle a little better. From all I've heard about the Carter I think I'm really going to like this guitar. The only thing that concerns me is it will be here just before New Years Eve and I will have shipped the Fessy out by then, so I'll have to play on a strange guitar New Years Eve! Oh well, no one said this Steel Guitar thing was gonna be easy! Just one more challenge!
Larry

edited to add: I want to thank everyone here who chipped in with good advice, and helpfull comments when I first got the U-12 and asked for help with it, thanks.

Larry,
I bet you will do just fine on New Years Eve.
You'll have about 2-1/2 days to get used to the Carter and it will be like you have been playing it forever.

A good reason to own more than one guitar.

Chris,I wonder if that reasoning would work on my wife? Maybe order a new Desert Rose?
