John. From the pics on Ebay what can you tell about the underside of this guitar and the pedal assembly. How much is from the old crossover and how much has been changed or added.
Be interesting to know what you would do to this guitar to bring out its' full potential.
I looked at that thing for 30 minutes wanting to buy it, but I don't have the Sho Bud expertise or the resources to really do it the justice it deserves. |

| Charlie & Bill..It will be an SD-10 I will change the tailplate to one from a Pro I. I will use my 2 hole rod pullers (#315) with the brass rod rollers, new teardrop knee levers, origional wide Sho~Bud floor pedals, a pedal bar from a "The Professional", set it up with 3 & 4 emmons setup, and make it look like it "has a mom and dad"!! Will also change fingers 4 & 5 to double raise. Add positive nylon tuning. Coop |

| Bill..The pedal bar and floor pedals deffinately are not Sho~Bud. About the only things from the original crossover are the cabinet and cast frame, keyhead, fingers, and some of the bellcrank cross shafts. Not to worry though. It can still be saved!! Coop |

| Damir..Thanks for posting the pic. What you are looking is the latest Sho~Bud part I am working on. Any of you that have ever done any work on these Sho~Buds know of the poor quality of the casting that were used. My replacement keyhead is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. I corrected the areas for tuners 5 & 6 so that you don't have to grind the ends of the tuner shafts!! It will actually set flat on the body!! Imagine that!! The tuners will actually set at a 90 degree angle to the bottom and all be in the same plane line!! Imagine that!! Sets flat, holes in line, whats next? The part that holds the rollers will be a seperate piece that will be held in place by dowel pins and socket head cap screws from the bottom. Once the roller piece is mounted in place, the slots will be precisely milled to very exact tolerances. Whats that? No more slop in the roller slots? Good grief, what are these Sho~Buds coming to?
