I picked up an amp off CL this week the add said: Fender Twin CLONE. It seems to be a 2001 reissue cab. Fender face plate, Reverb tank and so on But the Chassis is Point to Point hand wired. The amp sounds Amazing!!! loud, clear and clean was wondering if anyone might be using something like this or knows anything I might need to know about an amp like this?

Complete kits are available from 'Mojotone' to build several models of Fender ("Clone") tube amps. Weber was supplying these as well but not certain if they are doing so presently.

I found the MOJO tone chassis and a couple of others chassis on line and this may be from one of them it is a kit chassis and very well put together whoever did it knew what they were doing.

Just maintain it like any other tube amp. base d on the cab date it'd be a good idea to look at pots, transformers and the filter caps to try to date it.

Once the filter and bias caps are 15 years old or so they should be changed. That's considered end of service life and if one blows you could have an expensive problem.

If the amp wasn't used and just sat it's a good idea to change them much earlier as they dry out..
