For those looking for an acoustic amp for their resonators, I picked up a Boss Singer live amp today. Designed to compete against the Fisher Loudbox mini, it adds a lot of bells the Loudbox doesn't have, including a built in looper. Vocal section has an effect that will do harmonies (I haven't played with that yet) but Beard resonators sound amazing through it. Clear, great reverb and I can't get this thing to feedback no matter how loud I play it.
My setup is Fishman nashville p/u, -> JD Aura -> Aura spectrum pre-amp -> Boss Singer live.
Wasn't as impressed with the larger 120w larger version: the Boss Singer Pro. For some reason it had some annoying distortion on the top string, not a problem on the smaller Live version. |
