This song is a 1967 gospel music arrangement of an 18th-century hymn. It was recorded by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. This is my Sacred Steel rendering of the same song. Enjoy!

Brother Ron,
I tell everyone wanting to learn the steel guitar to start on gospel music.
The Holy Spirit will stand right over your shoulder and give you guidance.
He loves it when you "Give praises to the Lord on an instrument of 10 strings!. (Psalms 33:2) Very Happy

Hey Bro. Erv,
A good reminder in the Psalm. But, let us not forget the other mentions in the book of: Psalm 92:3,and Psalm 144:9 that is also reminding us to consider the instruments with ten strings to play skillfully when we sing a new song, with a loud noise in Psalm 33:3!
Be blessed my friend! Thanks again!
Bishop Ron

Thank you Bishop Ron...I like it! This brings back memories of growing up. I had saved up money from my paper route and bought a small transistor radio to listen to music and the baseball games and I heard this song a lot Smile

Wow! Jeff,
I am truly honored, and thankful to read of your historical fact, as to how songs like this can mean so much, as we all look back through our lives, and cherish our memories. I truly thank you for your encouragement. It means a lot to this old man to know it brings good memories. Thanks again,
Bishop Ron
