"32-bit/96kHz processing." Looks very interesting. It also has delay built in like the RV3.

From the boss page:

The Most Powerful BOSS Reverb Pedal Yet
The power and versatility of BOSS's 500 Series digital effects pedals come to reverb in the RV-500 multi-effects pedal. Loaded to the brim with gorgeous-sounding reverb effects, the 12 onboard reverb types mean tonal adventurers will never run out of inspiration. And editing these sounds can be a straightforward affair or take tone tweakers down a deep well of options and sonic perfection. BOSS has a long legacy of lauded reverb effects, such as their RV-5's legendary Modulate mode and their COSM modeling of famed Fender spring reverb tones. The RV-500 is like your own personal library of all of these sounds in a single stompbox.

12 inspiring reverb effects
Reverb is an absolute necessity on most electric guitar players' pedalboards these days. From covering ambient passages to the drippy tones only achieved through a spring-like setting, you're guaranteed to be called upon to wrangle these sounds. This makes the RV-500 an ideal partner for stage, studio, and home use. You'll find everything from warm-sounding room reverbs for a bit of extra ambience to highly effected SFX and shimmer sounds, all being processed through the pedal's astounding 32-bit/96kHz.

Sample From the Users Manual:

5 Thanks to 32-bit high-precision processing at a 96 kHz sampling rate from input to output, the
RV-500 gives you stunningly high-quality reverb.

5 With an easily readable screen and an independent [TAP/CTL] switch, it delivers both high
functionality as well as ease of use during live performances.

5 A total of 12 types of reverb are provided, including classic varieties as well as “DUAL” which lets
you use two reverbs simultaneously, the sparkling “SHIMMER,” and models such as “Roland SPACE
ECHO RE-201” and “Roland DIGITAL REVERB SRV-2000.” Powerful DSP lets you use delay and
modulation simultaneously for all reverbs.

5 The memory function lets you store and recall 297 different setups from internal memory.
“CARRYOVER” provides seamless transition that preserves the reverberant sound when switching
between patches.

5 By connecting the RV-500 via a USB cable or MIDI cables, you can switch sounds and control parameters in synchronization with your computer DAW or an external MIDI device.

I tired the Boss RV-500 Reverb Pedal and the Boss MD-500 Modulation Pedal with my Franklin and the Quilter Micro Block 45. They both sound outstanding. It looks like Santa will bring me both Wink
