This is a link to Tommy Butler using just his Sho Pro into the Fox Reverb unit, out to a direct box to get a low Z conversion and then into his computer to record the steel file that was inserted into the song. This is the rough mix with steel at full volume.

No amp was used, he went right thru the reverb unit and no EQ used!

Howdy, It's been a while Ken and my other friend at the SGF. I've been busy with a day job, my band(s) and life in general so I haven't been here in some time.

I own one of Ken's original build reverb units, ser #007 and the matching 4-10 Bassman also ser #007.

Both are stellar pieces and the reverb unit is fantastic, rich and quiet as Ken describes.

Ken, we need to catch up. Lost your phone number.

Here a link to a quick demo of the reverb unit. I used my 1983 Tele and an Ibanez practice amp with a 6" speaker, about 10 watt.

Sounds real nice Ken. That's a long decay , which tank are you using?
Nice playing too!

That one has a medium delay short tank

8AB2A1B

The reverb was turned up a bit for demo. The reverb unit is a recirculating circuit designed from the old Premier 90 reverb unit.
Unlike a Fender reverb circuit it feeds back some of the tanks output back to the input.

It uses the same tank impedance as Fender tube amps. I can use a variety of different tanks, short or long, two or three spring and different decay times in the unit

I really like this audio clip. Tommy Butler using his Sho Pro steel to a volume pedal > reverb unit > direct box to convert to low Z > right to the computer to record. No amp in the mix

This was a rough mix, steel was at a good volume to really hear the reverb unit
