Mike, I couldn't find info on your tuning on your site. Where can I learn more?

Great to have you back Mike

I have compiled your books in 2 simple PDF's

I sent you the first one "A different Slant"

I'll send you the second "running laps"

Both have the albums attached as well in the zip files of each.

Great to have you back. Would love to hear your input as well in the post I made of what chords you wish you had. Inversions etc. in Jazz.

I merged the Leavitt Tuning into an E13 and am findings some real gems with the two working together.

Using straight bar, forward and reverse slants and split bar techniques. inversions galore.

Elaborate is a wide topic.

Have a look:

Feel free to ask some queries.

Great to see you back, Mike!

Quick question for you- how do I go about ordering the .mp3s and .pdf files? I ordered one each of the Leavitt books and CDs a number of weeks ago, and didn't see the digital version on your site, so I ended up paying for shipping, too. I haven't received a shipping notification yet, so is it easiest to cancel and reorder?

I must have missed your order. What I do now is send it all via e-mail or other large file senders. I'll send it all to you and refund your shipping through pay pal.

Thanks

The late great Mike Auldridge was working with the Leavitt tuning on one of his 8 strings and said he was having a blast.

Fascinating. Did he drop any hints as to how he extended it? I set up my 8-string lap steel with just the middle 6 tuned to Leavitt, so that I could eventually extend it in either direction. I'm not there yet, but I'm very interested in where one would go with 8 strings.
