It’s a good day...Magic Mike is posting again. It’s kinda like Game of Thrones, waiting for the next instalment. Super nice looking guitar, Mike. How soon before you’re sitting in the drivers seat? |

Well thanks alot but I have bad news. I broke the finish putting on the endplates So... The body is back over at Southbound and we will determine if it can be repaired or if I will have to strip and start over. It's small stuff and it's part of the deal when you restore guitars, its bound to happen sometimes. Because I'm somewhat of a perfectionist on these guitars anything less than 100% will not do for me.
So standby and I will update with the news soon as I figure out whats next.
The good news is this makes it all the sweeter in the end and give me a good story to tell too haha!

It’s not always smooth sailing, is it? I have no doubt that you’ll get it right Mike. Do you think that that particular finish might go on slightly thicker than nitro? Cheers and good luck with the next few steps...I’ll keep watching. |

I think it is somewhat thicker for sure. I will fix this and move forward. If you work on steels long enough this sort of thing will eventually happen, part of the deal. Admittedly not very often so far LOL _________________ I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you
