Anyone know the exact size and proper nomenclature for the screws that hold the rubber bumpers and the aluminum cover plate on the bottom of the Sho-Bud pedals? Or a possible source for the rubber bumpers and screws? Looking for exact replacements if possible. |

Thanks, Tony. One problem living in the hinterlands is that the nearest Home Depot is 62 miles away, the nearest Lowes is 137 miles, and the nearest hardware store is over 20 and it's pathetic. McMaster-Carr is a strong possibility, especially if I know the correct screw size. Hoping that someone here on the Forum can help. |

If your pedal is the same as the one I have in the photo and the feet and screws are original to the pedal, the screws and feet, measured with a caliper, are:
2.5mm width screw measured under the screw head.
Philip's head, 8mm long from top of head to tip of screw. Sheet metal type.
Rubber foot is 13.5mm diameter
9mm tall. Metal washer reinforced.
The screws that hold the aluminum plate are the same size and type of screw for the feet. Except that the plate screws look to be steel while the feet screws are galvanized something or other.
If you're planning period correct, unless you can find info on where the original pedal parts were sourced, you won't find the "exact" parts as chances are those are not made anymore at least not the same way.
Then any replacement will work. _________________ ShoBud The Pro 1

Thanks for those measurements, Godfrey. The attachment plate screws fit the holes for the feet on mine also, so presumably they're original.
Since the pedal is totally functional but far from a museum piece, I'll likely opt for replacements if originals can't be found. |

Home Depot only 62 miles away? We are lucky to have an Ace Hardware right here in town, other than that 120+mi. |

Jack the screw is tiny on this.
McMaster measures screws from under the head. And you'll need to order 100 minimum. I suggest getting stainless.
The screw at 6mm under the head is just short of 1/4" but that should do as 1/4" is the smallest you can get at McMaster for these type sheet metal screws.
Don't forget there are two "feet" with similar screws used as bumpers inside the pedal north and south.
