Hey guys-
Unfortunately, it looks like the threading on one of the bellcranks on my early 70's Emmons PP is stripped and the set screw won't hold on to the cross-shaft for my RKL, G# -> F# lower. Similar to the issue described here:

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=304396&highlight=bellcrank+stripped

Does anyone know where I can find 1-2 of the modified bellcranks that slide on?

Thanks,
Patrick R

Some listed on eBay. $25 ea.

Apologies if you've already seen those.

You could drill and tap the cross shaft. I have a guitar that someone did this to. Then you can just screw right into it. Won’t go anywhere.

I'd try a new set screw. Set screws wear out more often than bellcrank threads get crossed. Not saying that's your problem. Just a first thought.

You could also put the large set screw in. Drill, thread, and new screw. Of course that guy is coming out.

Thanks for the replies, and the link! It's definitely the female end of the bellcrank, and it's completely separated. Hopefully this new one will take care of it.

You can't go wrong when dealing with Clem Schmitz.
