Sometimes you have guitars you love but just don't play enough anymore to justify keeping them...

It's time for this wonderful guitar to go to a new home where it'll see more action:

Gibson CG-523. A great-sounding guitar and truly a piece of Gibson history. Only made between 1957 and 1959 with just thirty-seven known to have left the factory. This one's body has been altered somewhere along the line so there's less space between the inside and middle necks, and the neck selector, volume, and tone controls are in front of the player rather than on top. The pickups work/sound just like they should and the case, though rough, works fine. Happy to send more information and as many photos as desired to interested potential buyers.

$1450 + actual shipping (U.S and Canada only on this one, I'm afraid.)

BTW - No need to be puzzled by posts below referring to a couple of Stringmasters. Those guitars already sold.

The D-8 is sold pending payment. The other two are still available, though.

Glad to answer any questions on either or both!

[forms defensive barrier around the T8 Stringmaster]

She's mine, mine I tell you!

Pending check clearance, anyway. Hope to give the old guitar a nice relaxing retirement in (figurative) Hawaii...

True, that. The D-8 is heading to Texas and, pending payment, the T-8 Stringmaster is heading to Kansas City and (virtual) Hawaii.

The Gibson T-8 is still waiting to find a new, loving home though!

I owned this Gibson and it is all you would expect from a guitar from that era. If you appreciate that old Hank Williams sound that Don Helms produced this old girl will do the job. Someone will get a great axe for a good price.....

Thanks, Willis. Yes, this is a great guitar. And, again, quite a rare one. If I was playing it more I'd keep it for sure. Someone's going to get a great deal.
