Very Happy Just thought fellow forumites would like to see the size of my complete catalogs of my Hawaiian/Polynesian LP collection from all over the world. Contains label names, catalog number, album title, artist(s) and LP contents. Have separate catalogs of C&W,Steel instrumentals,
Big Band, New Age and Popular vocalists(Male & Female) that I have collected in the past 67 years.

Also, have hundreds of CDs, cassettes, reel-to-reel tapes of
Hawaiian and misc. music.

What a labor of love, meticulously done. I know there are quite a few serious collectors out there.

It's funny how the world has changed in that regard. I know there are still plenty of collectors, even in this digital age. Personally, the burden of having all those records in my possession and the daunting task of ever having to move them is more than I can handle. I have about 3000 LPs, CDs and tapes myself which I pay almost no attention to.

You are absolutely correct, Mike. I, also have thousands of everything that I haven't listened to for 50 years. Now the problem is ,-how to get rid of them other than burning them. However, I do have a pending sale of 72 Cumquat CDs which will be donated to a University.
Eventually it seems that all our treasures become our burdens.

Yes, a very impressive collection. There's a ton of work there. I know I'm an outlier when it comes to records, but I never had more than a few albums at a time, and back in my younger daze. I haven't owned any albums in 25 years. No turntable either. I have about 20 CDs but I rarely play them. mp3s... I do have about 3000 songs on my computer, iPad and iPhone. No storage problem with those! They store easily on a tiny flash drive. I couldn't handle having stacks of albums in the house, but I know a lot of musicians who have massive record collections.
