It sounds like a good SL should. Power tranny was changed a long time ago with another from the same era. The all-important output tranny is original. Overall good condition. Amp was recently given a clean bill of health from L.A. amp guru Chris Merren. This is an early metal panel from Sept. 1969. Comes with the Bulgin power cord. Other than the power tranny, logo and rubber feet, and replaced tubes it's in very good shape with minor headshell roadwear. [b]SOLD ON THE VERB Local inspection and purchase is always recommended (to save me from having to pack it...)

Looks like new grill cloth to me, for that kind of money it shouldn’t be.

You're right; closer examination and a trip down memory lane called up the history of that cloth, dating back 15 years. It *was* replaced then. It was fraying at the top and the previous owner was a heavy smoker so it was quite jaundiced. After a six month airing out in the garage the cloth got swapped. The price for that amp would be somewhat less here - without the heavy fees to pay there's room to maneuver.
