This is one great playing and sounding Guitar. Emmons set up. RKL raises # 1 whole step and lowers # 6 whole. RKR lowers # 2 whole w 1/2 stop and lowers # 9 1/2. E's on the left. $2800.00 + shipping. Lower 48. No trades.

Please every one, don't take this the wrong way. I'm simply being curious, not a smart elic. What is wrong with this guitar ? Is it the price ? Is it too old ? Is it not the right color ?
I'm serious, I would like some feedback on this. I don't mind telling you, I paid that for it two years ago. Maybe I paid too much. I might have to let the Grandkids sell it 50 years from now I don't know.
Thanks for looking,
Jimmie

Jimmie, it is not the guitar, that is one of the better playing and sounding ldg,s made. As far as price? I don,t think for the condition it is in that the price is too high, you can buy them for less money but not is this condition....thanks jack

It's probably just a function of the available funds we all have, or don't as the case may be. I would love to add this guitar to my stable, but no money to that at the present time.

Very Happy The wood is beautiful, the builder, Duane Marrs, is a plus, the rarity of this year guitar in this condition is a plus. Someone who wants one of these will make an offer you can't refuse. I am guessing the year of this to be 1976. IMHO.

I was told a lady in Florida bought this Guitar new in 1974. She played it about 6 weeks and died. It was put up until a couple of years ago. That's what I was told.

Wow can u imagine what a new one like that would cost, plus u know that beautiful Birdseye malble is stable probably a good investment too. Probably new one like that would be 4500 too $5000 an you wouldn't have that Sho Bud mojo.

What is an LDG? Cool Cool Laughing Laughing

All Jokes aside......Jimmie.....Dang good looking guitar. And,I am sure it has the sound, too. I echo Steve's comment. I think you got it in the right price range.

Jimmie, you just have to be patient. It can take weeks for the right buyer to come by. And, despite what the news people say, money is still a bit scarce for most of us.

So, again, be patient. That's a very desirable guitar and it WILL sell in good time.

Yes the bindings are different. The body binding is brown background with biege border and diamonds. The neck binding is biege background with black border and diamonds.

I don't know a lot about Sho-Bud guitars, but I'll take Ricky's word.

When you are asking a premium price, it sometimes takes a while to sell. It took 6 mos. or better for me to sell a nice older D10 Zum here. Beats me. It can be frustrating at times, but don't be discouraged.

Stuff sells quick at give-a-way prices, not so much when priced at or near a reasonable actual value.

This guitar looks like it is in pristine condition top and bottom No empty screw holes, looks like nothing has been changed since delivery. Appears to be in original fine condition. LDG's are very desirable, even more so because there are no 'Bud's being built anymore.

Some guys just want a guitar to play, some look to buy for re-sale and there are those that want a cherry original instrument like yours for their own to cherish and play. It may take a while to find your buyer. He/She is out there somewhere.

I know I said no trades. That's because the odds of someone having the only Guitar I would trade for are slim to none.
So, the only Guitar I would consider trading for is a Sierra 14 string with E69 tuning ( not universal).
