Wally,
Again really good song and playing, and I love the
Cobra, and the West Texas landscape is cool.
Can't wait for the whole cd to come out! _________________ Regards, Craig

Wally, excellent "conversation" you're having with Brady on this tune. The arrangement gives the listener space to think, the soulful playing compels us in a laid-back way. Love it! |

That's just great Wally! I gotta have that cd. It moves me. And that Tone.... is that the Kemper going straight in or mic'd through a guitar speaker? Also; when I get through Lubbock might I catch you playing out somewhere? |

Thank you Scott, that means a lot!
The steel is recorded with my Zum Hybrid to a Hilton Pedal and a Little Walter 89. I recorded it dry with no effects using two mics, one into the cone and one offset to the side of the cone.. In the mix I mix the two to get the tone I like.. I like to add effects in the mix so I can time them to the tempo of the song. I play at the Cactus Theater fairly often, message me if your going to be in town... |

Wally, the band, the song, the visuals, the mixing etc. etc. etc. were all top notch. Can't wait to get the CD ro DVD, whatever it is.
Wally you were playing both necks but seemed to be hitting the first few pedals. Were the tunings ordinary E9 and C6th? The playing was anything but ordinary. Thanks so much. steve t |

Thank you Steve.. Yes its pretty much standard E9 and C6.. It gets kind of busy playing both necks and the ResoRocker on the same song. Since on the C6th part I only lower the third string C on this song with a knee lever, I just leave my left foot on the first two pedals.. Makes it easer to get around...

Hey Wally, any update on when your cd will be released.
BTW, I was in Lubbock this summer dropping off my daughter at tech.
Also, any update on the book you were working on?
Hope all is well. _________________ Regards, Craig

Craig,
The CD project is coming along slow but steady. We have had a busy year with moving our business location as well as moving to a new home, all positive but time consuming.. This all required that I had to build another studio. I'm finally back at working on the project. My airplane building buddy's always say their project will be done on Friday, they just don't know what Friday... The book is actually one that my Dad wrote about music in West Texas. We have just been editing it, it's getting close but was also on the back burner until now. Last year we did a website about my Dad Wally Moyers Sr., I would invite you to check it out if you get a chance. https://www.wallymoyers.com/ Thanks for asking about them.. |
