I had a very lengthy and nice conversation with Danny Hullihan(president of Jagwire) today. Good news! Jagwire strings are still in production.
Jagwire no longer has dealers in the U.S. and is selling direct to consumers. Understandably so.
I've tried every brand of string available for pedal steel and arrived to the conclusion, Jagwire strings seem to work best for me.

Me to. I get more changer throw even on the plain strings. I use stainless so considerably more throw on the wound strings than other brands. Never experienced breakage. Plus they sound good much longer.

I have no vested interest here. Just a happy customer. You guys use what works best for you.

More music companies are selling direct to the consumer now.
My guess is more control and profit margins.

Thanks, Tommy. I'd been wondering where Jagwire strings went - I always liked them.

I'm using the Lloyd Green Signature sets, I like them the most on my JCH.

I've been a fan of Jagwire Strings - and Danny - since their first appearance. The service I get is terrific and the strings themselves are as dependable as anything I have ever tried.

It's gratifying to learn that I have yet another thing in common with Tommy White - we have the same number of arms and legs, we both play 'Day' (but to varying standards Laughing ) and now we use the same strings!

I'm on the right track!

Here in Canada I get them from Al Brisco (Steel Guitars of Canada). They're great strings and Al is also a great guy to deal with.

I'm a big fan of Jagwire. I use the Herby Wallace Stainless. I just ordered a supply and received them in about a week. Jagwire strings have a longer life and I rarely have to touch my changer when I put on a new set. Great strings!!

I can't find anything on the web for Jagwire Strings. Panic attack here... Any news since you have talked to Danny? Pleeze, Pleeze, Pleeze, don't want to go back to rotary phones, and aluminum foil on the rabbit ears....
I want my Jagwire!
