Does anyone know if peavey put a fender 8 ohm speaker in a 400 sessions 4 ohm amp, as a special order, the early sessions, not the limited sessions. Jim Goins. Confused

The Fender 15F is a re-branded EV bass speaker. Why would Peavey put a Fender speaker in one of their amplifiers, much less a mismatched bass speaker?

I have a 5ession 400 of that similar vintage and it has a 4 ohm BW in it. I'd love to have the speaker you are referring to for my Ampeg G15 8 ohm tube amp.

No sir, the Peavey Session 400 amplifier featured a "JBL made for Peavey" speaker in the early Session 400, but never a Fender speaker. The Peavey Black Widow speaker was put in production after JBL speakers began to fail when used for steel guitar in the early Session 400 amplifiers.
