Would anybody like to name the guitar player on this cut? I found out and now I have to rethink everything Stax.

Joachim - Thanks for your reply. It's not Cropper - Reggie - Chips Moman or Bobby Womack or Curtis Mayfield (all gold standards of how to play the guitar). I'll also say it' not Hendrix. I thought of all those guys - but it kind of sounded like elements of all of them mixed together.
The guitar player is a musician / producer who was one of the top names of Soul Music but was not ever known as a guitar player: Booker T. |

Joachim - I didn't know Booker T. played guitar - especially as good as the above mentioned - at least on that part.
Did you see the CMHOF Nashville Cats tribute to Reggie?

My father's people are from Heidi, Germany where my parents took me when I was 14. I've been back 2 times - the last time I was on tour as a musican. As you know - the people I met knew more about Country Music than me and the American Country musicians I was with did. These friends are still invaluable resources for the work I do now. |

Joachim - I'm certain the Heide of my father's people was in West Germany. I could live in Germany! The food is incredible plus they don't know how to make beer in the States.

That is not very far from the small island of Helgoland. My father took me there on vacation when I was a child. I think I still have some pictures of that trip. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

I am continually amazed by how much Joachim knows about American music. |
