Hi all, I thought any fans of Lloyd Green's playing might enjoy this long interview I did with him recently for my podcast "Music Makers and Soul Shakers" about musicians and making records. You can stream or download it for free here:

Enjoy!

Great interview. I just love hearing all the history of the golden age of Nashville and the country music us older folks enjoy with lots of steel guitar. Lloyd has always been one one my heroes. I would enjoy a part two. If you do it, ask Lloyd about the night he recorded Live at Panther Hall with Charlie Pride.

I worked for my late friend Jerry Brightman at Performance steel Guitars. He knew that Lloyd was my steel hero. One day he called me into his office, telling someone had called me. I hadn't given my work number to anyone. Jerry knew how much I admired Lloyd, and their being buddies, and my love of Lloyd's playing, he called Lloyd. Totally set me up! Great hour long conversation!

Thanks for sharing this. This is a great podcast.

Started with the Lloyds but there are some other really great interviews from folks I don't hear much from. Tim O'brien and Norman Blake jumped out at me. I'm a junkie for learning about the artists and studio work.

Cool style, good interviews... definitely worth the time..
