Heard some songs off of Charlie Pride's new album and the band just blew me away! I just love a 4/4 shuffle with fiddle and steel kicking the song off. Charlie can still sing!

allmusic says Mike Johnson, steel guitar, Robby Turner, steel guitar, and Scotty Sanders, Dobro and steel guitar.

I heard "New Patches" on Willie's Roadhouse. Don't know which player it is, but steel guitar doesn't get better than that.

I heard some today, it was wonderful, and the steel sounded great.. Lots of old school character in the tone and great playing... It sickens me that the only airplay it will get is probably on satellite....bob

I would say it's Hank Singer on fiddle.

Definitely not Mike Johnson on the track that Keith highlighted on YouTube. Neither Mike's tone or his playing.
