Curious to know if you guys are using these in the studio for convenience. I love mine on electric guitar. If so, which models are you using etc.

I don't own one, but use one at church. Saves me a lot of trouble hauling an amp, and the sound engineers like it too.

Bruce Bouton was using a Black Box into a Kemper on the Garth Brooks tour. I believe he created a tone profile in the studio and loaded it into the Kemper for the road.

I think Mike Johnson is using one on the road with Reba.

A Kemper with anything is still a good start.




Since more and more tours use FOH mixers with computerized-saved settings for the mixer to get the same mix at every venue, using something like a Kemper makes sense if you like playing with the same exact settings but have a monitor system as in pro tour systems to recreate the same sound gig after gig.
